oldfields opening night
11/12/2008
A big thank you to Bill and Peter for inviting me to the opening night of the new oldfields restaurant in Dean Street, Newcastle last Friday (7th November).
Housed within the ground floor of a listed building, the new Newcastle restaurant provides a welcome change from the norm.
The large floorspace of the restaurant is separated into three main areas for dining. The round, a spacious, paneled room with a fantastic original fireplace. The pass, where you can watch the chefs at work, and the halls – a large area split by feature fireplace hearths from the original building.
Waiting staff worked calmly and quietly to create an extra special, relaxed atmosphere for everyone.
And not forgetting the food, all locally grown, sourced or produced, was absolutely fantastic... especially the wild boar pie and the mouth watering salmon! Mmm.
Undoubtedly oldfields is one of the best restaurants in Newcastle.
I'll be back without a doubt - visit the website below to learn more.

A domain name, professional email and a year of the UK's best hosting for under £25 a month?
That's a disgrace. It's far too cheap.
(Err, it actually might only be only £10 a month if you're a small or startup business. Blimey). |
