This is a fantastic opportunity to join angelfysh, the expanding Newcastle based award winning search engine optimisation and web support services company with a proven track record for results, quality and super customer service.
angelfysh provide a wide range of services to intermediaries such as Creative Agencies and other technical businesses as well as website owners direct all over the world and as far away as New York, USA.
angelfysh has recently (October 2008) been short listed for two more awards to hopefully add to the 2007/8 Awards for UK's Best Hosting Company (FRESH Digital Awards) and the North East's Best Website Optimisation Company (NE Digital Awards).
The two new award nominations are for Best Woman Entrepreneur, Lisa Forster (Women Into the Network Awards 2008/9) and for the second year running, the Award for UK's Best Hosting Company, angelfysh hosting (FRESH Digital 2008/9).
If you're a dedicated individual with some existing technical and/or search engine optimisation knowledge, an understanding of web support services, great attention to detail and who has a hunger to learn and be the best then this position is for you. Please note that this is a junior role. Your attitude, potential and the ability to learn extremely quickly is everything as we look for someone who is keen to learn and genuinely excel within these specialist areas. And please note that you will in fact be affiliated to a wider development team of around 20 people from who you can learn and gain experience and support.
Search engine optimisation activities
- Creating client positioning and business benefits reports
- Creating link building campaigns and sourcing reciprocal/paid links
- Sourcing content for websites and copywriting
- Creating feeder/information websites
- Creating competitor analysis reports
- Creating client proposals
- Creating & monitoring Google Adwords campaigns
- Any other associated activities as required/as we develop you
Web support services activities
- Setting up domains for websites on the angelfysh servers
- Uploading basic holding pages and complex websites
- Changing domain name DNS settings (A and MX records)
- Setting up new email accounts and creating setup guides for clients
- Setting up urchin statistics accounts
- Creating and setting up FTP accounts
- Troubleshooting issues for clients (any)
- Within months you will be the friendly and supportive face and voice of angelfysh hosting
- Any other associated activities as required/as we develop you
Customer relationships and marketing
- Fab on the phone
- Great at ‘tonally correct' written communications
- Friendly, patient, bubbly and caring yet with an urgency to get things done brilliantly
- You'll be interested in delighting every customer every single day
- You will be comfortable with attending events to promote the business
- You will be keen to help think of new business and sales opportunities, seeing them through as required
- Assisting and where given the opportunity, driving all sales and marketing activities
- You'll be managing your own clients potentially across both businesses within a year, providing world beating levels of service and specialist skills
- Any other associated activities as required/as we develop you
General office activities
- Answering the telephone
- Creating and maintaining amazing office and IT systems to help improve our businesses
- Updating internal excel spreadsheets and access databases
- Creating designed, template-driven documents for internal/external use
- General housekeeping as well as being nice to, cleaning and looking after our actual angelfish
- Telling jokes (funny or otherwise but always clean)
Fair to good knowledge of
- FTP
- Dreamweaver
- MS Word
- MS Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail
- Image editing software
- Html
- Css

That's a disgrace. It's far too cheap.
(Err, it actually might only be only £10 a month if you're a small or startup business. Blimey). |
